The destruction,chaos, and the ability to be really creative with the way you choose to destroy or just have fun makes it playable over and over again.

Ignoring bugs and the like, I think 4 is the better game but not by much. Let me explain.The world is more vibrant in 4, but various graphical issues currently negate whatever advantage 4 has over 3. Still, colors are deeper (imo), foliage is more varied, environments are more distinct, and there aren’t as many empty spaces as with 3 (much of the map was ocean). Once they fix the bugs, it should be a great world to explore.Weapons are definitely more diverse and fun to use.

Each gun has a distinct feel to it and the secondary fire is pure joy (rocket sniper is my fav:)). HOWEVER, ammo is much scarcer and limited than in 3, meaning you will be hunting for ammo as much as using the weapons themselves. The adventures of fatman walkthrough. Hopefully Avalanche can rebalance this system with a future patch and if not, there are always mods. But players shouldn’t be fixing devs design decisions.Vehicles actually feel a lot better this time around! Except helicopters and STILL motorcycles (though latter has definitely been improved).

I actually enjoy flying jets and cruising along in super cars, and the top speed of some cars far surpasses that of even the rocket wingsuit in 3. A caveat with mounted weapons though: ammo is limited.

Now, you can’t liberate all bases with one vehicle, but I’ve honestly never found this to be an issue with how much you need to switch vehicles. The Black Hand seem to hate you when you’re in a tank. Overall, I don’t know why they screwed up choppers, but everything else saw an improvement.Story in this game is pretty basic. You don’t play for the story, so I’m skipping most of the details. However, base liberation is now a combination of strike missions and a “frontline” mechanic and is more closely tied with story progression. Basically, complete a mission (there’s one in most regions) and if that region is bordering a frontline, you can capture it by expending (or in some cases gaining) a “squad” resource. It’s a lot more “interactive” than just blowing everything that’s red up, but still leaves something to be desired.Now, the grappling hook.

This is something that I would’ve wanted in JC3 as DLC. This feature alone is worth at least your attention.

I’ll admit that it feels clunky at times, but knowing how to use it properly can make or break your entire experience. All the nuance of it is beyond this short comparison; I strongly advise you to look up the details. This is probably the one thing that kept 4 from being irredeemable on release.Overall: as I’ve said, my opinion is that 4 barely beats 3. With some dev review, might be better. For now, though, save your money.
