Myth The Fallen Lords Mac
Myth: The Fallen Lords Review. This fantasy game unfolds around a richly woven plot, involving an epic struggle between the undead and spirit forces of Dark and the living forces of Light. Myth: The Fallen Lords, Myth II: Soulblighter, and all materials derived therefrom are trademarks and copyrights of Bungie Software Products Corporation (now Bungie Studios, a wholly owned subsidary of the Microsoft Corporation). We are not Bungie; we are an independantly run fan organization who Bungie has been so kind as to not sue for using.
Two things have traditionally kept PC gamers riveted to their keyboards: Game-play and gore. Bungie utilizes both to the fullest in its tactical masterpiece, Myth: The Fallen Lords. Myth blows away any current real-time strategy game available today. It simply does everything right.
A River of Blood Runs Through It
Myth's battles have been compared endlessly to the dramatic clash6s in Braveheart, and there's no better analogy. As you struggle against hordes ot undead sent by the Fallen Lords to conquer the continent, the soil literally runs red with the blood of battle. Weapons, corpses, and severed limbs litter the 3D landscape, while explosions alter the terrain. Diverse weather, advanced A.I., addictive gameplay, physics model combine to create a complete package. Owners of 3Dfx cards will find Myth a grisly but gorgeous demo for their new toy. Plus, every battle can be saved and replayed at varying speeds--from any angle--or through an automatic camera.
The crisp, authentic sound effects, from the thunderous explosions and clear, expressive speech to the subtle sounds of launched arrows and surrounding wildlife, envelop you in the medieval atmosphere. Armed with a mouse and a few single-key commands, most real-time gamers will be able to jump right in and take control. Only the rotating camera requires some learning, but its flexibility cannot be matched. With it, you can view the battlefield from literally any angle at any time.
Dead Again & Again
Fighting legions of zombies is cool; fighting as legions of zombies in multiplayer games is even cooler. Bungie has programmed in seven network contests, including variations on playground classics like King of the Hill and Kill the Man with the Ball, which you can play for free through bungie.net--with up to 16 players!
If nothing else, Myth will force StarCraft to shine that much brighter when it's released next year. In the meantime, today's bloated real-time strategy market could use a swift kick, and Myth: The Fallen Lords is one big-ass boot. What WarCraft started and Command & Conquer refined, Myth perfects.
ProTips:
- Keep an eye out for stray green dots on the radar screen to keep your army together.
- Use the terrain. Plant your archers atop hills whenever possible, and use trees as cover during attacks.
- Never fight the Wight hand to hand, unless it's a calculated sacrifice--they explode upon contact.
- One of the most annoying ways for your warriors to die is from your own archers' arrows. If your warriors storm in, select your archers and hit the space bar to make them stop firing.
- A tight box formation (the 5 key) works well for bridges, while a V-shaped vanguard (the 9 key) is the all-purpose 'ready for action' choice.
- Dwarves can set grenades on the ground as mines, then trigger them for a chain reaction. This is good for protecting a base or flag.

I played this cool RTS game on my P100 with 3DFX Voodoo - 4 MB, however the framerate was very slow I enjoyed this game.
So much atmosphere, good storytelling and music.
Also the dwarven humor I liked 'Ooops Sorry ..' KABOUM !!!! xD

One of my favourites, I play it every now and then again!
The easiest way to play it is to download the 'The Fallen Levels'-Mod and play them under Myth 2:
https://projectmagma.net/downloads/TFL_Solo/
There are some small differences between the original game and the mod in my experience. If you would like to run the original in its full glory (graphically), you'll need nglide (or another glide-wrapper):
http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
Because the game doesn't recognize RAM-configurations abouve 512 MB, you'll probably also need the TFL-Launcher (the Myth-modder Melekor created it for me years ago and gave me the chance to relive the fantastic experience):

I got it to work2018-05-121 point Windows version
This game has a bin file. Use WinBinToiso or anything other program that will convert a .bin file to an .iso file. Then burn the .iso file to a disk and you can then install and run the game.

To install this game, you need to download imaging software like Daemon Tools. Mount the .cue in the zip and install the game. I then had the run executable under compatability mode XP-Sp3.

I really want this game to work but getting it to run on a MacBook in OSX is just too hard! I have very fond memories of this game.

this was a good game that I myself just didn't really enjoy...but I can
tell you without any doubt it was a good game, I guess I was more into
the gather resources churn-out countless units to attack enemy that
I couldn't appreciate a game with true strategy, also the game came
on something like 7 frigging cdroms or something....it was a real
pain-in-the-ass to install back in the day.
ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz......

Anyone know how to get this game to boot? I installed it and it keeps saying error:
Myth does not have enough free memory or swap space to launch. Try closing any other applications you have open or freeing up more hard drive space and trying again.
I have 8 gigs of ram and more than enough space on the hdd. Any ideas? Thanks

One of the absolutely best tactic-games of all times! Great story, interesting units, a really fantastic physic system that really matters (arrows don't fly well in rain for example, fires get extinguished, hills give you better view .. oh, and the limbs and innards of your victims fly physically correct, while the blood is spread properly ;) ). Every mission is challenging and different. I really recommend to update the game only to version 1.3 and run it with a glide wrapper (for example Zeckensack's or Nglide, just google for it). I love this game!

I really want to play this game (on a macbook). How do I install this game?
Reelphresh2015-03-233 points Windows version
IMO the best strategy game there is. It's a very difficult game but the story line is pretty intriguing and it really makes you make use of your units. Dwarfs are so awesome in this game but can also ruin the whole mission if unchecked. People still love playing mutiplayer. All in all this is a must have game along with Myth 2 soulblighter.

I played the demo of this game when it was first released. Never got around to getting the full game. The story and narration were good. Game play was difficult to master but over time became familiar. I'll report later on this incarnation after installing and playing.
